Sad Goodbyes, Warm Welcomes, EP Update & The Lost Keys go to Regionals!

2015 has been a whirlwind of recording, auditions, and performing!  Let's catch you up on all of the latest Lost Keys action:

-Patrick Dillon, one of the original members of the Lost Keys recently said his goodbyes to the group.  We are forever grateful to Patrick for starting this amazing group, and we will miss him terribly.  He is an amazing source of musical knowledge, humor and of course "grape face."  We love you Patrick!

-We also bid a sad farewell to Steph Lee, who accepted an amazing job offer in Philadelphia.  In her short time with us, Steph became a vital member of the Lost Keys, and her House of the Rising Sun solo was always a fan favorite at our concerts.  We'll miss you Steph!

-While we lost a couple of our favorite members, we also gained a new one.  A warm welcome to Rachel Weinstein, our newest Key! Rachel brings some great musical experience, major stage presence, and a fantastic ear for arrangements.  You'll no doubt be seeing and hearing a lot more from her over the next few months!

-After some late nights and long sessions, we are happy to announce that recording for our debut EP is DONE!  The final mix is almost finished, and we can't wait for you all to hear it.  Stay tuned for info on our EP release party/concert in May.  Seriously, you're in for a treat :)

-After finally finishing up recording, we got back to work on new songs and performances.  We had our first gig of 2015 last week at Arlene's Grocery and performed along side our friends, Please Refrain.  We had a blast performing at our favorite venue, and it was a great warm up for another gig only two days later...

-The Lost Keys competed in our first ever competition at this year's Harmony Sweeps Regional round.  That's right, for one night, we were finally able to live out our Glee fantasies! We performed BurnClassic, & Creep in front of a packed Miller Theater at Columbia University and although we didn't place, it was amazing to share the stage with so many talented NYC groups.

We didn't leave completely empty-handed though; our amazing musical director, Keiji, won Best Original Arrangement for Creep. Congrats to Keiji on a well deserved award and killer performance!

Also, a big congrats to our friends, Low Key, who took first place and will move on to the national round in San Francisco.  Good luck, guys!

Whew!  You're all caught up.  Stay tuned to the blog and our Facebook page for updates on future gigs, album release details and other Lost Keys news.  See you soon!
